Author: Denise Ditto

Denise Ditto is an award-winning author with a love for storytelling that inspires and delights young readers. She is the creator of The Tooth Collector Fairies children’s chapter book series, which includes Batina’s Best First Day, Home from Decay Valley, Tooth Fairy Day Celebration, and Lucas and the Magic Well (coming out in 2026). Through imaginative adventures, the series weaves in meaningful life lessons that encourage families to talk together about friendship, responsibility, and overcoming challenges.

In addition to children’s literature, Denise writes short fiction and personal reflections inspired by her childhood in Houston, Texas. Her work has appeared in anthologies such as OMG, That Woman! and Tales of Texas, Volume 2. She is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), where she was honored as a 2021 Woman of Excellence.

Denise holds a B.A. in Professional Writing from the University of Houston–Downtown, graduating magna cum laude. Her writing has been featured in the university’s literary magazine, and she is a recipient of a creative writing contest award.

When she’s not writing, Denise enjoys life with her husband, Frank, in Montgomery, Texas. She is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother, and shares her home with two cats, Jillian Bean and Boomer, and an aDORAble dog named Dora—also known as Dora the Explorer.
